The annual NATIONAL PIKE FISHING TOURNAMENT is a "catch and release"- from the shoreline- tournament.
BRING YOUR OWN BUCKET TO TRANSPORT FISH TO WEIGH STATION.
This is a really fun event at the park for all scouts.
All participants must be currently registered Scouts or Scouter (adult) in the National Pike District.
If siblings or adults fish they must be registered. Siblings can only contribute to pack\troop totals
they are not eligible for the individual trophies.
All fishing must take place from the shore. No fishing from boats or with waders is allowed. The
Buddy System is to be followed throughout the tournament. No adults should fish alone with an
individual Scout, other than their own child. Adults and Scouts are encouraged to help needy
Scouts whenever appropriate.
Trophies will be awarded to the top 10 fish caught by Scouts and the top 1 fish caught by
Scouters.
